Sayuri looked all around. The place was more than dead. Although it was a relatively nice night and it didn't feel like there was any kind of threat, Sayuri felt how her body shivered as she entered the village.
A cold breeze moved her hair to her face. She moved her hand up to her face to remove the locks of hair that covered her sight and placed them down the red hood she wore. There was something that felt wrong about the place. Not a soul inside... but still there was an energy coming from one of the buildings.
Ek-Balam kept all of her senses to the highest as she walked through the empty streets. The wind blew harder now and it sounded like a dim crying. The voice in her head kept whispering too... a lot more than usual, but she still wasn't able to distinguish what it was saying. It was a little bit louder now but still not enough to understand.
She walked by an empty fountain. Sayuri looked inside of it, finding nothing than a frog that seemed to be about to die because of the cold. She couldn't help it and bent down to grab the little amphibian to protect it from the breeze.
-Come little buddy... I don't think we should stay alone...
And so she kept walking, now with the little frog between her hands. She felt a little more safe, although the frog wouldn't be much help in the middle of a battle.
The empty main street led her to an old temple... which she found curious as it was very well preserved. How did it belong to? Which god could have been worshiped there, then forgotten... but still had his or her temple intact?
Ek entered the temple... a few torches were actually lit. It made it even more weird. Her steps filled the air. Her heart beat began to rush. She was more quiet than ever in her life... even the little frog was quiet and she felt like if had taken a few steps back inside her hands and closer to her body... as if fearing something
She lowered her hood slowly and looked around. Like in the town, there wasn't a soul either. She swallowed and sighed as she kept walking inside until she reached a stone bench. The elf didn't know if what was a good place to sit down but as she was thinking about it, a thunder broke the silence of the shrine. She turned around and walked back to the door. A storm came out of nowhere and now a storm kept her inside the shrine
-It is late anyway... I had to find a place to stay tonight... and here we are... don't u think little buddy?
She was talking to the little frog that she was holding up in her hand just in front of her eyes. The animal remained calmed and just gave a little croak.
-Alright then... I guess we'll stay here for night... and perhaps later I'll find someone that can explain me somethng about this weird place...
Ek closed to wooden doors and walked back to the stone bench grabbing in her way a torch from the walls. She planned on using it to give her some light and heat
Once in the middle of the shrine, Sayuri placed the little frog down on the floor as well as her swords and sat close to them. She grabbed her sack and pulled out 2 blankets and a metal bowl, placing inside some herbs and wood that she carried inside the sack. The girl grabbed the torch and approached it to the bowl, getting a bigger flame, just enough to get her through the night. Ek watched how her little fellow jumped closer to the fire and smiled
-Yes... I bet you are cold... so am I...
She lyed down on the floor covered by one of the blankets and then covered herself with the other. She closed her eyes and tried to get some sleep...

The light of the full moon shined down on the empty village, casting shadows everywhere, as the sound of soft footsteps could be heard. As if appearing out of nowhere like a ghost, a pair of white wolves padded softly out of the forest, walking along the empty street. While the two wolves looked like twins, upon closer inspection, one would realize that while they looked the same, they were not, for their eye color differed, and once more, one wolf had a scar on his left eye. The two wolves padded down the empty street, their eyes scanning around them, there was not a soul to be found here. It is empty... This village has been abandoned. Indeed. There is not a soul to found in this place. I wonder why. One wolf sniffed the air, and caught a scent, it was faint, but it was still there. I smell something, there is someone here. The other wolf sniffed the air, and caught the scent his brother had smelled. You're right, there is someone here. It is faint, but I can smell it.
Making their way down the street as they continued to sniff the air, the scent lead the two of them to an old temple. A few lanterns were lit, the dim light slightly visible from the outside, as the two wolves padded their way into the temple, pushing the wooden door open with their combined strength. Their footsteps barely made any noise, as the both of them looked around, taking in their surroundings. This temple, it is in relatively well shape, despite being abandoned. The scent led to here. Do you see anyone? The other wolf looked around, his amber eye peering into the darkness, though to him, it was as if it was daytime, he could very clearly. His eye carefully took in every detail, until he locked onto a figure lying on the ground, covered in a blanket, a fire . There. His brother looked in the direction he was looking at, and padded over to his brother. Can you make out who it is? No, but I think our presence is known. Padding over to the figure, the wolves passed through a shadow of a pillar, a few minutes later after a small pause they emerged, except now there was only one wolf, and the other was a handsome elf, with hair as blue as the ocean, wearing silver armor, his aqua cape flowing behind him. If the stranger had seen Miles before he had changed back, it would be quite obvious Miles was not an ordinary elf.
"Peace, stranger," Miles said softly, as he stopped a bit from the figure, "I mean no harm." Moonlight shined down on Miles, throwing the scar on his left eye into relief, his right eye was the only working eye he had now, but that did not bother Miles, for he had Rudy, his brother, who was his eyes as well. "My brother," Miles indicated to Rudy, who was sitting beside Miles, "Smelled your scent, and it led us to here. Tell me stranger, what brings you to such a reclusive location such as this village?"

There was an odd feeling in the forest of his birth. A small taint of corruption that was barely perceptible, yet also so familiar to the living corpse. It was as if the feeling was his Mother's and he could only want to get closer to it.
The dim sense of the living didn't hurt the compulsion either, he could do with fresh flesh. The Spider had claimed the last as a new form and it had left the man eater wanting. Night fell quickly as the robed Ghoul traveled, his tireless form moving quickly to the living. His sight would soon behold the dead village and more importantly the slightly crumbled temple.
The Ghoul wouldn't enter directly, instead moving carefully out of sight. Breathlessly maneuvering to the side of the temple and beginning to scale it, sharp claws gripping and pulling the thin form upwards without effort. At the top, just above the entrance the Ghoul would wait.
His twin intestines crawling and slithering down the sides of the entrance, waiting for their chance. The Ghoul would have them both if he could, but one would be fine. It was only a matter of time before they had to leave and the Undead Monstrosity would be waiting, still as the grave till they came.

(OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong about the cape... it's just tht I have NO idea if yor char is wearing his armor or not)
Sayuri's eyes opened suddenly as she heard the wooden door being open. The craking wood made a soft noise, but it was more than enought for her to grab one the swords, but still remaining on the ground without moving much. It was not an evil energy but still she had to stay alert.
Padded footsteps came from the door and approached her somewhat slowly... but when they were close enough to her, it was a completely differente sound that came to her. It was the sound of human footsteps... or at least someone with only 2 feet. Her grip tightened along the swords handle and her breath deepened as she waited.
"Peace, stranger. I mean no harm."
Sayuri got her body half up and onto her knees. She looked at the newcomer... it was another elf, with bue hair and yellow eyes. Blue hair... In her court, not many elves had blue hair. Only those who came from the northern lands. It didn't feel odd... but still she thought she should stay alert.
"My brother, smelled your scent, and it led us to here. Tell me stranger, what brings you to such a reclusive location such as this village?"
She looked at the wolf sitting next to him. Brother? Now, that was weird but she said nothing an turned her eyes again to the standing elf.
-I just...- she stopped. What would he think about the voices on her head? She thought it was weird herself, so what would others think... or even do -...found the place. I was looking to get to Frostcrag... I come from the Southern Lands and I think I just got lost...-
She got up and stood in front of him. He was taller and his built overcame hers. Go figure... As back in court, she was smaller than her male counterparts.
-My name's Ek-Balam... your highness- and she lowered her head in a bow. She figured that out from the aqua cape he wore. She remembered her mother told her about the royal colors of the other elven courts around Evalise... and the aqua color was mentioned on the list
Suddenly, she felt something eerie coming from the outside of the building. Even though it was raining and not much could be heard, she felt a dead energy coming from the sorroundings. Without taking her eyes off of the other elf, she bent down to grab the other sword placing it on her back, to put the little frog inside the sack taking care of not harming it and finally grabbed the torch and got up
-I'm sorry your highness... but I think someone... or something is outside... I bet you've felt it too... So I guess that my question about how you got here and if you know anything about this temple will have to wait...

As soon as Miles spoke, he saw the other figure, that he now recognized to be another elf, get up onto her knees, but she had dark brown wavy hair and blue eyes, which meant she was not from the northern continent. It wasn't out of the ordinary, but it wasn't exactly common either. He then indicated to Rudy that he had smelled her scent and it led them to here, as he saw her look at Rudy, he knew many would find it quite strange that Miles was referring to the wolf as his brother, but being a Lythari elf, Miles shared a deep connection with Rudy that could never be broken. As Miles asked what brought her to this temple, the aura of dead energy made Miles stiffen slightly, it seemed they were not alone. Rudy too, had felt it, for he had stiffened slightly as well, but Miles acted like nothing was wrong, although he was now much more alert. "I just..." Miles heard her stop, as he peered at her with a look of mild puzzlement, before she continued. "...found the place. I was looking to get to Frostcrag... I come from the Southern Lands and I think I just got lost..."
"I see..." Miles replied softly, as he saw her get up and stand in front of him, he towered over her, and he was built much more than her. "My name's Ek-Balam... Your Highness." With that said, he saw her bow to him, as he nodded his head slightly, his aqua cape gave away that he was part of the royal family. "The pleasure is all mine, Ek-Balam," Miles replied, bowing his head slightly to her, yes, he was a king, but he did not act like one, especially when he was traveling, "My name is Miles De'Arka." He then saw Ek-Balam bend down and grab the other sword that was on her back, place the little frog he supposed was her companion into her sack and then grab her torch and straightened up, all while never taking her eyes off Miles. It seemed she had sensed the evil presence that was lurking just outside. "I'm sorry Your Highness... but I think someone... or something is outside... I bet you've felt it too... So I guess that my question about how you got here and if you know anything about this temple will have to wait..." "You are correct, I did feel that other presence that is lurking outside," Miles replied softly, as he quietly clapped his hands together, materializing his blade in front of him, before gripping it in his right hand, "It seems my answering your question will have to wait indeed." Just as Miles had readied himself to fight, his ears picked up the sound of voices, even with his excellent hearing, even a regular human would be able to hear it, it wasn't very hard. Loud, gruff voices could be heard from outside. "Oy, Vancha, you see that!?" "What are you blabbing on about Mika?" "Look at the temple! I see the glow of light, and it sure as hell isn't the torches lining the wall! Someone is inside our territory!" "Well what are we waiting for!? Let's go and kick the bastard out!" Miles heard the sound of quick footsteps, and knew it was not the evil presence he had sensed, no, these were ordinary humans, and bandits it seemed. The wooden door slammed open, as Miles saw the outline of two human men, both were wearing clothes that were slightly tattered, but they were far from skinny or thin, if anything these two men looked very well-fed. Miles could see them scanning around, before locking in on Miles and Ek-Balam.
"Well well! What do we have here! Two trespassers! And look Vancha, one of them is a female elf!" Miles heard the man called Mika crow, as his partner, Vancha, smirked. Rudy began to growl beside Miles, as he placed a hand on Rudy's head, to calm him down. "Strangers! You choose the wrong place to set up camp in! Once we take of you, Elf boy, we're going to take your pretty little female elf friend for our own!" Vancha crowed, as Miles' amber eye narrowed into a glare. "I'd be carefully what you wish for, humans," Miles said softly, as the two men stood at the entrance to the temple, "Not everything is what it seems here..."

The Ghoul was annoyed with the large muscled men as they appeared. Two victims would have been hard to deal with, but now it was up to four and that was just too risky to handle. The undead was about to essentially pack it up and leave till he listened to the exchange of words between the two groups.
If the dead man could have laughed without giving his location away, he would have almost instantly. The tentacles would retract slightly and begin weaving their way along the roof inside the temple. Undoubtedly the pair of elves would see them as they dropped down just behind heads of the thugs.
Ghoul would wait to attack till after the blue haired elf had stopped speaking, Then the action would happen quickly, the sharp teeth would grasp the men from behind, biting down on the spinal cord before making a quick jerk to send them backwards and unto their feet.
The screams would be blood curdling as they looked at the elves, wide eyed in fear of whatever magic they had just cast. The poor men didn't know that if it weren't for them, it would be the elves in this position.
It would only be a minute before the men disappeared up unto the top of the roof. There would be a sickening crunch as as the Corpse Eater smashed one skull against the hard stone so he would stop moving, while all his mouths began feasting on the other. Allowing the man being devoured to stay alive as long as he was able, screaming all the while.
Ghoul wouldn't be coming down anytime too soon, but small drips of blood would begin appearing from the edges of the roof, leaving bright red marks against the old temple.
With any luck the elves wouldn't bother their savior, instead leaving him be.

Sayuri was getting nervous as the dead energy kept coming closer, her breathing getting deeper and her grip tighter, as she wonder when the attack would come... but instead, she got human voices. She blinked twice in awe... and got even more surprised when she heard something about territory... though it would explain how the torches got lit.
The wooden door got opened suddenly and the water would begin to pour inside the temple, a couple of figures could be seen standing as a thunder hit the ground.
The fugures would start moving towards them, obviously a lot bigger than her... and as rude as only humans could be. "Strangers! You choose the wrong place to set up camp in! Once we take of you, Elf boy, we're going to take your pretty little female elf friend for our own!"
Ek raised a brow. Take her for themselves??? They obviously where more than mad or so she thought... but she also thought they weren't the ones they should care about. There was something crawling outside... something a lot more powerful than the 2 men and surely an extraordinary enemy for them as elves. She knew fighting the dead was something more than difficult
She heard the royal elf talking "I'd be carefully what you wish for, humans. Not everything is what it seems here..." at the same time as she felt the other moving towards them... and saw the tentacles that came up from the roof behind the heads of the humans.
Her eyes opened as plates and her hand instinctly moved towards Miles arm, grabbing him and pulling him backwards to her position. She let a drowned yell come out of her mouth as the tentacles reached the spinal cord of the men.
-What is that...- she said more whispering than actually talking. It was a rather disgusting scene. She was too surprised to even think about doing something. The voice in her head just told her to remain still... and for the first time she just did what she was told.
The two humans were suddenly lift from the floor and disappeared to the roof top of the temple. Something made her take a few steps forward, to see what was happening, but something else made her have second thoughts about that... perhaps the yells that filled the air or the sound of something hard being crashed against the roof. Her eyes just moved over to the roof as she remained in complete silence
The yells kept coming to her ears and she moved her eyes down to Miles again, as she just shook her head slowly
-Your highness... I... don't think we should move for a while...

The dead energy was getting stronger and stronger, and the two humans that were yelling at the two of them were surely not helping. As Miles saw the two humans take a steps towards them, tentacles dropped down from the roof, behind the heads of the two humans. Miles' eye flashed in surprise, as he felt Ek grab onto his arm and pull him back, to where she was, he heard her let out a drowned yell as the tentacles reached the spinal cords of both men, sending them backwards and onto their feet. "What is that..." She was whispering more than talking, as Miles gripped his blade tightly, Rudy right beside him, even he was silent. "I do not know, but those tentacles... They are connected to the source of the dead energy I sense..." Even Miles was speaking in a low tone, it was rather disgusting, the scene before them. The humans let out bloodcurdling screams, their eyes wide in fear of what magic it was that the two of them had casted, when in truth, neither Miles nor Ek had done anything.
And just like that, the two humans were lifted off the floor and yanked out into the rain, before disappearing up onto the roof. Mies, while he wanted to find out what the source of the dead energy was, let his rationalization win, partially due to the screams of agony that filled the air and the sound of of something hard being thrown against the roof of the temple. While Ek was focused on looking up around the roof of the temple, Miles was focused on the doorway of the temple, and could see small drips of what looked like... "Blood..." Miles muttered softly, his grip on his blade even tighter. The screams continued, as Miles saw Ek move her eyes to him, and shook her head slowly."Your highness... I... don't think we should move for a while..." "While I do concur with that," Miles said, as he kept his guard up, "I also think we should escape from this temple, while whatever undead creature that attacked those two men, is occupied. As it stands, we are trapped within this temple, with only one exit. Now is this best time to move, while we have the chance."
Miles turned to the doorway of the temple, lightning lighting up the door frame. "Now my fellow elf, we must run. Run as fast as you can, and do not stop for whatever reason." Disappearing temporarily into the shadow a pillar had casted, Miles would dispel his sword and then remove his clothing and armor, and transformed into his wolf form, allowing him to run much faster. Padding back to Ek, his clothing and armor stored in a bag he carried with him, Miles would whine softly at her, before blinking once, to signify it was time. Turning to face the doorway, Miles would run out of the temple, into the rain, let's put it this way; a wet wolf is not a happy wolf. But Miles didn't care about that right now, all he was worried about, was getting the hell out of here. Brother! Make sure Ek is safe! I do not know if that creature is satisfied with those humans or not! I will brother, do not worry! Rudy would stay with Ek, making sure she would be safe, as Miles ran ahead slightly.

The snapping of bones would become next symphony of sounds as the Ghoul tore at the ribcage of his first meal. The dead eyes looking without seeing and finding the initial pair that had drawn him and wondered if he would risk attacking them now. He no longer had an element of surprise and while they hadn't attempted to attack yet, that certainly didn't mean they weren't capable of defending themselves.
The small conversation would only further the corpse eater's decision, he wouldn't be able to hear all of it but knew they were discussing what to do and their first few steps backwards solidified what they had decided. They would run and dare not turn back for whatever beast had just saved them out of opportunity and likely be thankful for it.
The Ghoul would pay them only cursory mind from that point on, just enough to make sure they weren't trying to encroach on him to perform some ill will. The Ghoul would not chase them as he fled, but merely finish the first corpse and then carry the second back to his Spider ally. He just hoped the slightly crushed back of the corpses head wouldn't be an issue.

Ek stood frozen for a while, as her muscles where able to move. She had just seen how 2 grown up men were lifted through the air by their spines and heard how her skulls, or so she thought, were crushed down against the floor... and just as she said the shouldn't move, Miles said they HAD to do so "While I do concur with that, I also think we should escape from this temple... As it stands, we are trapped within this temple, with only one exit..."
He definitely had a point there. She wasn't very much prepared to attack anything that had just... saved them?? Fighting the dead was not her precise idea of fun... so she just bent down to grab the metal bowl and her backpack... just hoping her little fellow was alright... and when she turned back, there was not only one wolf, but 2... she didn't exactly know how it happened but she just knew one of them was Miles... there was no other explanation. Besides, the wolf had just... blinked at her? it had to be him trying to comunicate with her and telling they had to go... or she was just going mental... either way, she decided to run...and run as fast as she could...
The elf got out of temple and into the rain, as she covered her self with the crimson cloak... but just as she did this, for some odd reason she looked backwards... and then it was when she saw it, the dead thing that had just... saved them by eating the 2 humans.
Ek covered her mouth with her hand as she was about to scream as their eyes crossed... if it was possible that those eyes were alive. She had not seen something like that in her entire life... but it was something she would never ever forget... a horrible dead walking figure, with tentacles coming out of its abdomen... that were devouring the flesh of one of the two men... She was definitely not going to attack that thing...
-What the hell is that???
She just kept running under the rain, feeling the backpack hitting against her back... she just hope it would end soon... better get away of that thing whatever it was... but... then it hit her... where she was running to? And where was Miles?... would the ghoul follow them? She just closed her eyes for a second and begged it wouldn't follow them...
